The 5th Wave

This thrilling, imagination capturing book is the brilliant starter to the sequel (coming out in summer 2014).
It is America in the not so distant future and aleins are invading. Cassie is on the run, when Sam gets "rescued" she begins thinking she is the only human left. Until she meets Evan. Cassie has to choose, between hope and realism, between life and death.

The book is split up into around 8 or 9 parts. The book is further split into chapters, making it a manageable read.
The plot is not overly complex, easy enough to follow, but hard enough to get you thinking.
I would definatley reccomend The 5th Wave to anyone, 11 and over, boy or girl.
