Children of Winter

Children of Winter is an amazing book. At first I thought it would be for younger readers due to the large font size, pictures and not many pages. However this book was certainly not for little kids, the whole concept of the book would confuse them. Catherine Patsy and Andrew are on a walk with their family. The dad gets lost and the mum goes out in search of him, leaving the three children in a barn. Whilst the parents are gone Catherine seems to remember the barn long ago. they start to play a make believe game set in the era Catherine recalls so well and their game soon becomes a reality...

It is not gruesome at all and a very gripping novel i would certainly recommend it to anyone 10+.
